The Delta State government has taken action against two engineers. They approved road projects that were not complete. A government review panel carefully checked the work and found faults.

One engineer, Gabriel Evuarhere, lost his role as Deputy Director. He is now demoted to the role of Assistant Director. The other, Samuel Nwokolobia, was lowered from Assistant Director to Chief Engineer.

A government letter clearly explained the case and the faults. Both engineers did not follow the proper rules set by the state. The review noted a clear failure to deliver quality work.

The penalty came after a careful look into the matter. Governor Sheriff Oborevwori asked the panel to show mercy. The demotions will start from January 1, 2024. All future promotions have been pushed back to 2027 and 2028.

This move shows that the state will not tolerate cheating. The government stands firm against poor work and clear corruption. The action aims to boost trust in public projects.

The case sends a clear message: no one is above the law. The people of Delta State can expect fair work and safe roads. Debate rages fiercely about work standards and ethics sparked by this story. Now share views in the comments below somehow.
