So, check this out, VeryDarkMan, the Nigerian activist, has a story that’ll blow your mind. Recently he posted a video expressing his admiration, for none, than Don Jazzy. I must say it's definitely not your everyday tale.
After the whole Falana case, VeryDarkMan was ready to head back to Abuja. But, as fate would have it, he ended up staying in Lagos a little longer because he wanted to meet Don Jazzy.
He’d been meaning to appreciate him in person, and when Don Jazzy said he’d be back in town soon, VeryDarkMan waited. Finally, the moment came. He met up with Don Jazzy, Coco P, DJ Big N, and they were all just vibing, talking about Nigeria’s future.
Now, this is where the story gets crazy. While they were hanging out, VeryDarkMan kept getting calls from an unknown number on Snapchat. When he finally answered, it was a situation where someone was being harassed by the police. After helping out, the real shock came when he checked his phone.
Don Jazzy had sent him a message: "Send me your bank details." VeryDarkMan, a little confused but trusting the man, sent them over. And guess what? Don Jazzy sent him a huge amount of money—and we’re talking about an amount that was a total game-changer.
According to VeryDarkMan, this was the kind of money he had never seen in his bank account before. And, what’s even more amazing, he never asked for it. Don Jazzy did it out of pure generosity.
When VeryDarkMan reached out to Don Jazzy to thank him, Don Jazzy made it clear that the money wasn’t for any NGO or charity; it was just a personal act of kindness. As for Don Jazzy’s usual humble nature, he didn’t want the world to know about it. He doesn’t like the attention that comes with generosity, but VeryDarkMan felt the need to shout it out because it was that impactful.
"I’m not even sure how to express my thanks properly," VeryDarkMan says in the video, “but shout-out to Don Jazzy. God bless you, man." And, to be honest, who could blame him for wanting to share this incredible moment?
But it didn’t stop there. VeryDarkMan also gave a little something back to his friend Coco P, who has been loyal through thick and thin. A small token of appreciation for always having his back. And then, of course, DJ Big N got a special mention too for being the real deal.
This is what it means to give without asking for anything in return. Don Jazzy recently demonstrated how certain acts of kindness can truly make an impression, on others lives.There are moments when the true value lies not in gestures but, in the intentions that drive them behind it.
