Sheebah Karungi |
Today, we celebrate not just another birthday for Sheebah Karungi but an extraordinary journey that’s come full circle. 35 years ago, in a little town called Mijjeera, a young mother faced what seemed like an impossible situation.
She went into labor at seven months, with no hospital, no incubator, and no resources just a fierce will to protect her child. That mother didn’t have any training or support, yet she found a way to keep her premature baby warm, alive, and safe against all odds. That baby girl was Sheebah, a miracle in every sense of the word.
Now, that same girl who grew up strong and resilient, despite every challenge is about to welcome a child of her own. Sheebah's been open about these past three years, sharing how they’ve tested her spirit and character in ways she couldn’t have imagined.
Yet, for every tough moment, she’s found lessons and blessings, and she stands ready to embrace motherhood. It’s both thrilling and a little daunting (especially that labor part!), but she’s facing it with the same strength her mom showed all those years ago.
In just a few moments, Sheebah will be holding her ‘little bird,’ as she lovingly calls her unborn child. She’s dreamed of this for years, and now, at 35, she knows there’s no rushing life’s timing. "You can’t manipulate the universe," she says a reminder of the beautiful mystery that life holds for us all.
Here’s to Sheebah Karungi, her unstoppable spirit, and the incredible journey of life. May her ‘little bird’ arrive safely and bring even more light and love into her world.
