A Voice for the Voiceless: VeryDarkMan's Appeal to President Tinubu on Detained Children

VDM calls for compassion in Nigeria’s justice system

Nigeria’s activist, VeryDarkMan, has turned the spotlight on a disturbing reality: children, some barely in their teens, held behind bars for over 90 days on charges of treason. Can you believe that? Imagine these kids, locked up without a fair shot, while their mothers stand outside the federal courthouse in tears, desperate to get their children back home.

VeryDarkMan is urging President Bola Tinubu to intervene, pleading for mercy and justice. "These are just kids," he’s saying. "They don’t belong behind bars; they belong in school, with their families." This isn’t about politics; it’s about human compassion and basic rights. No child deserves to start their life in a cell. President Tinubu, the people are watching, hoping you'll step in and make a difference for these young ones.

It's an issue to ponder  when will these youngsters finally see justice served up on a silver platter for them to grasp eagerly in their hands and feel the warmth of fairness enveloping their hearts like a blanket, on a chilly night ? At this moment, in time all they can do is cling onto the light of hope that the Nigerian authorities will heed their pleas and bring about the awaited reckoning they so desperately seek.
