Heartbreaking Abuja Evictions Exposed by Verydarkman – FCT Families Left Homeless for Land Deals

Displaced Nigerian families sheltering under mosquito nets after late-night evictions in Abuja.

You know, sometimes it takes one person to spotlight what everyone else wants to sweep under the rug. Just like Verydarkman, who called out the heartbreaking reality of Abuja’s mass evictions in his latest video.

Picture this: families shoved out of their makeshift homes under the dark, past midnight. No warning, no options, just pushed aside, so the land could be passed on to the wealthy few. And yeah, it’s painful to say, but this is our reality.

When Verydarkman spoke, he wasn’t just speaking for himself; he was giving a voice to thousands who barely get a second thought. These aren’t just numbers they’re people who, like many, left their villages seeking security and a fresh start in the FCT. Now, they’re being stripped of even that last hope.

The irony? Those behind the evictions are meant to protect these people, not leave them exposed and vulnerable. And while some of us can pop up a mosquito net, it’s not a solution to the deeper problem: desperation born from neglect.

Let’s not sugarcoat this. There’s a plea here a call for empathy, a demand for real alternatives, not empty promises or bureaucratic shuffles. So, Mr. Wike, if you're listening, take a second. If there’s any humanity left in this decision, find a way to rehouse these families, keep them safe, and don’t push our fellow Nigerians to a point where survival is their only option.
