Wike speaking at a political event, facing criticism from PDP governors.

Nelson wike

Wike's recent comments have stirred the pot within the People's Democratic Party (PDP). As the new Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Wike openly challenged PDP governors, threatening to ignite unrest in their respective states.

The PDP Governors' Forum didn't take this lightly, calling out Wike's statements as reckless and unworthy of a former governor who once enjoyed the forum’s solidarity.

The crux of the issue? Wike’s attack stems from what he perceives as bias in the ongoing political friction in Rivers State, with Governor Siminalayi Fubara now at the center of attention.

While Wike’s tenure in Rivers was marked by influence, the governors have firmly reminded him that the party’s leadership has evolved. The PDP governors reaffirm their support for Fubara, emphasizing that unity and collaboration are paramount.

The Forum urged Wike to stop fanning the flames of discord and instead embrace dialogue and reconciliation. After all, the party’s strength has always been rooted in solidarity—something they hope Wike remembers.
