Leonid Radvinsky, the Ukrainian-American billionaire who owned the adult content platform OnlyFans, has died at age 43 after a long battle with cancer.
The company confirmed Radvinsky’s death in a statement on March 23. A spokesperson said Radvinsky “passed away peacefully” and that his family has requested privacy during this time .
Radvinsky acquired Fenix International, OnlyFans’ parent company, in 2018 from British founders Guy and Tim Stokely. He became the majority shareholder and served as a director . Under his ownership, the subscription-based platform grew from a niche service into a global business with hundreds of millions of users.
OnlyFans saw its popularity surge during the Covid-19 pandemic as lockdowns pushed creators and consumers online. The platform allows creators to charge subscribers a monthly fee for content, with OnlyFans taking a 20% cut of payments .
The company’s most recent filing with Companies House showed it generated $1.4 billion in revenue in 2024. The platform had more than 377 million subscribers and about 4.6 million creators that year .
Radvinsky was born in the Ukrainian port city of Odesa. His family moved to Chicago when he was a child. He studied economics at Northwestern University and graduated in 2002 . Before buying OnlyFans, he owned an adult webcam business and founded a venture capital fund called Leo in 2009 that invests in technology companies .
Forbes listed Radvinsky as a billionaire, with his net worth estimated at about $4.7 billion at the time of his death . Between 2021 and 2025, he paid himself approximately $1.8 billion in dividends from OnlyFans, according to Bloomberg .
In early 2026, Radvinsky was in talks to sell a 60% stake in OnlyFans. The discussions involved Architect Capital, a San Francisco-based investment firm, in a deal that would value the company at around $5.5 billion including debt. Those talks were still in early stages as of February .
Radvinsky had moved his ownership stake in OnlyFans into a trust in 2024, according to the company . His death leaves questions about who will control the platform going forward.
OnlyFans said Radvinsky supported several philanthropic projects globally. Donations listed on his website included contributions to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, open-source initiatives, and the West Suburban Humane Society .
Radvinsky is survived by his wife, Katie Chudnovsky, and their four children .
