Gulf leaders unite after unprecedented Israeli attack.

Qatar will host an emergency Arab-Islamic summit this weekend. The meeting aims to coordinate a regional response to Israel's airstrike on Doha. The attack targeted Hamas leaders on Tuesday. It killed six people, including a Qatari security officer .

Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani said the strike "killed any hope" for releasing Israeli hostages held in Gaza. He told CNN that Benjamin Netanyahu must "be brought to justice" . The Israeli prime minister warned Qatar to expel Hamas leaders or face further action. Qatar called these remarks "reckless" and "Islamophobic" .

The strike happened as Hamas leaders were discussing a US ceasefire proposal. They planned to give their response that evening. The attack disrupted these talks . Hamas says its top leaders survived. But five lower-level members died .

The United Nations Security Council condemned the attack. All 15 members, including the US, supported a statement backing Qatar's sovereignty. They called for lower tensions in the region .

US President Donald Trump said he was "very unhappy about every aspect" of the strike. He stated he was notified "too late to stop it" . A White House official told Agence France-Presse that the US knew in advance about the operation. But Qatar says it received no warning. An American official called during the explosions .

Gulf states quickly showed support for Qatar. The UAE president visited Doha on Wednesday. He also traveled to Bahrain and Oman to coordinate positions . Saudi Arabia's crown prince and Jordan's crown prince are also visiting Qatar .

Anwar Gargash is the diplomatic adviser to the UAE president. He said the Gulf tour aims to reinforce "collective Gulf security" . The UAE foreign ministry said any aggression against one Gulf state is an attack on all .

The two-day summit will happen on Sunday and Monday in Doha . Media reports say leaders may discuss cutting diplomatic and financial ties with Israel .

The attack has strained relations between Qatar and the US. Qatar hosts a major US military base. Axios reported that Qatar might rethink its security partnership with Washington. But Qatar officially denied this report .

Qatar has been a key mediator between Israel and Hamas. It has hosted Hamas leaders since 2012. Qatari officials say this was done at the request of the US . The prime minister said Qatar is now "reassessing everything" about its mediation role .

The strike also hurt efforts to free Israeli hostages. Families of hostages had been counting on Qatar's mediation . Israel's president said his country remains "ready for a complete deal" . But the Qatari prime minister said Netanyahu was "wasting time" in recent negotiations .

The Israeli attack has drawn widespread international criticism. Governments called it a breach of sovereignty and international law . Regional resistance groups also condemned the strike .

This event is part of a broader pattern of Israeli actions. In just three days, Israel launched attacks in Gaza, Lebanon, Yemen, Syria, Tunisia, and Qatar. It also continues daily raids in the West Bank .

The upcoming summit in Doha could mark a turning point. Gulf states seem united in their response. The outcome may shape regional security and diplomacy for years to come.
