A prominent oil magnate, Prince Arthur Eze, praised President Bola Tinubu as a divine choice for Nigeria. He made the comments in a soon-to-air State House documentary. His statement came via Bayo Onanuga, the President’s Information Adviser .


Eze said God does not make mistakes. He claimed Tinubu was “created for a purpose” and “given power to change lives” . The oil boss has backed Tinubu’s “Renewed Hope Agenda” since its launch.


He noted Tinubu’s unity drive. He pointed to key Southeast appointments as proof of inclusivity. He cited the Minister of Works, Science and Technology, and the Southeast Development Commission .


Eze recalled his war-time youth. He said Tinubu’s moves heal old wounds. He urged Igbo leaders to join national unity efforts .


He expressed trust in economic reforms. He lauded mining sector gains and foreign investment boosts. He said reforms drew over $800 million in FDI in 2024 .


Yet economists warn of high inflation. Nigeria’s headline rate hit 24.23 percent in March 2025. It eased to 23.71 percent in April, down from 24.23 percent . Many Nigerians face higher food costs.


The Central Bank held rates at 27.5 percent in February. It cited easing inflation and FX stability . Critics say rate hikes hurt small businesses and jobs.
