In a deeply unsettling event that has sent shockwaves through the Otor-Owhe community in the Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State, Oghenero was reportedly set ablaze by enraged youths for allegedly beheading a woman.

According to local sources, the tragic sequence of events began when the deceased woman allegedly slapped Oghenero's mother during an argument. Upon hearing about the altercation, Oghenero is said to have confronted the woman while she was farming in the bush, where he allegedly beheaded her. He then reportedly placed her head in a polythene bag and brought it home.

The community responded swiftly and brutally. Local vigilantes apprehended Oghenero, and he got shot in the legs as he attempted to escape. Irately, youths set him ablaze, leading him straight to death.

As of now, Delta State Police Command hasn't issued an official statement regarding this incident so far under current circumstances. Efforts to reach Police Public Relations Officer SP Bright Edafe have been unsuccessful lately.

This tragic event highlights deep-seated issues of mob justice; lawful conflict resolution is crucial. Communities must engage in constructive discussions on the dangers of taking the law into their own hands, promoting balanced views that uphold justice and human rights somehow.
