In a significant crackdown, authorities have apprehended several illegal migrants involved in extensive gun-running operations across multiple U.S. cities. These arrests highlight a growing concern over the involvement of migrant groups in organized crime.
In New York City, three Venezuelan migrants, including Stefano Pachón, identified as the leader of the Tren de Aragua gang, were charged with conspiracy. Pachon and accomplices allegedly sold illegal firearms like pistols, shotguns, rifles, and ghost guns throughout city streets and underground markets. Pachon, who arrived in New York in 2023, is accused of selling nine loaded weapons over several months.
The investigation began with Victor Parra, leader of an interstate scooter gang, leading to the arrests of Pachon and his associates, Darwin Figuera and Yorman Serrano. Pachon was detained without bail due to his criminal history, while Figuera and Serrano received bail set at $50,000 and $75,000, respectively.
In Aurora, Colorado, police have charged three suspects seen in a viral video showing armed men breaking into an apartment. One of them, Niefred Serpa-Acosta, 20, admitted to being a member of the violent Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua, despite initial police denials of the connection.

The other two suspects, Anderson Zambrano-Pacheco, 25, and Naudi Lopez Fernandez, 21, crossed the border illegally last year and were quickly released into the U.S. All have criminal records in Colorado.
The incident occurred in late August at an apartment complex and resulted in a shooting that left one person dead. Acosta is currently in ICE custody awaiting an immigration judge hearing.
Three other individuals seen in the video have not yet been identified. Aurora police acknowledge the challenges in determining gang affiliations due to a lack of cooperation from Venezuela and sanctuary laws limiting communication with ICE.
In Texas, three illegal migrants associated with the Venezuelan prison gang Tren de Aragua were apprehended for kidnapping and executing Nilzuly Enrique Arneaud-Petit. Arneaud-Petit, involved in an ATM theft operation, was abducted with two juveniles in Dallas, shot dead, and her body was abandoned.
