During his address Fubara stressed the significance of supporting the judiciary to operate since he took office. He highlighted that a strong judiciary plays a role, in upholding the law and delivering justice for everyone while maintaining order, in society.. "We uphold and will always uphold the autonomy and independence of the judiciary " Fubara remarked while emphasizing that his administration has taken steps to meet responsibilities that support a favorable setting for the judiciary to function independently.
The ceremony didn’t just reflect on the role of the judiciary it was a reminder of the vital connection between governance and law. Fubara stressed that a robust judiciary ensures that the government can be held accountable, which is crucial in any democracy. His administration, he said, is alive to its constitutional responsibilities toward the judiciary. This includes creating a healthy, transparent legal environment where justice can be served fairly and without bias.
By attending both the church service and the ceremonial court session, Fubara demonstrated his ongoing support for the legal profession in Rivers State. His message was clear: the judiciary remains a priority, and his administration will continue to honor legal commitments to further strengthen the justice system.
The special event also allowed Fubara to look back, on the achievements of the year and recognize the hard work of the judiciary in handling challenging cases and providing timely justice.He shared his hope for increased cooperation among the judiciary and other branches of government in the year, for the benefit of the people of Rivers State.
In closing, Governor Fubara called on all stakeholders legal professionals, government officials, and citizens alike to continue supporting the judiciary in its critical role. “ "He emphasized the role of a legal system, in upholding justice in society by stating that an impartial judiciary is vital for maintaining equity and harmony, within the state.
